I'm sorry, but big trucks should have full right of way in any rest area that is not off limits to trucks.
It pisses me off when a 4 wheeler whips into a truck only rest area. I want to park on top of them.Lonesome and RebelChick Thank this. -
If your truck is placed "out of service", then you can get reimbursed for the hotel. If you could have slept in your truck, the room is on your dime. Although the Abilene rate is reasonable.WotansVolkman Thanks this.

There are a couple of NE regionals on this thread. One of them will get back to you soon.RI Ron Thanks this.

Sometimes my new load number just doesn't work so I try my last one and it works instead. So far I haven't left the yard with out making those pumps work. I have seen other driver's call someone while fighting with them and their issues seem to get handled that way.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

Thanks, I'm thinking I may want to run the regional that keeps you east of the Mississippi, and as far south as Key West. Seems that's where I might get 3,000, 3,500 miles a week. -
@RI Ron i run ne regional and 2500 sounds like the high end of what could be expected. Ive only been here about 6 weeks or so on the ne regional so dont have a great avg yet, but 2200ish a week seems to be what it is for me. I live in richmond va and mostly run nj nyc, nys, and pa.
The .10 cent bonus on maryland north, and $50 for nyc make a bigger difference than you might think. I did a post a week or so ago with more details, but on 13 trips/moves home on weekends for reset and couple nights at home i drive 4200-4300 with 2 nyc payouts and the bonus stuff "saved" me almost 1000 miles.
To me running the ne is about flexibility, patience, aggresiveness, and stubbornness. The problem is knowing when to use which!
Any soecific questions just pm meslick mick, KD5AXG and RI Ron Thank this. -
Out on long island for a morning hp drop. Will be really glad when all the beach trips are done. Took me 9 hours to drive 395 miles today. Though thinking about how much traffic i hit, thats better than i expected.
@RebelChick pittsburgh sounds rough. Havnt been there yet, but im sure its in the cards soon.
Wrote truck up last weekend for a few things and it never even moved. Did it again this past weekend and thankfully they got to it. 4 new shocks (1 was leaking) and a air tank drain. And hopefully a fuel filter sensor.
Ref fueling issues, if begin trip and load acceptance dont work the last trip usually does. I get most of my fuel at the yard.WotansVolkman Thanks this. -
@Evomalo ... @KD5AXG
Being I wasn't sure when the truck would get in there, I didn't want the engine hot when they start working on it. They'll just let it sit there and cool down first anyway and that just slows things down even more.
Yeah, I know the room is on me. I'm ok with that. A bed, TV and shower. Almost like having a home again. A really cheap one.
WotansVolkman and KD5AXG Thank this. -
Thanks for the info, with me living in RI they told me I could run either regional or NE regional. I've done a lot of Boston, and NH, ME,VT, all thru upstate NY, and PA. Do you get a choice of any trucks available on the yard after orientation? Also on the regional how long you out 7/10 days with 2/3 days home? Thinking there's more leg stretching runs on the regular regional, as opposed to the NE regional.
