but Abilene is pretty good.... YMMV

"Refrigeration Equipment" seems to always work for me... Except the one time I possibly didn't maybe come to a full stop and just assumed I would get the pass and wave... Guess he wasn't fond of that and opted to teach me to come to a full stop and wait for the smile and wave to proceed... LOL

 

Personally I don't understand why they can't combine the "scale" with the "Ag Inspection"... Oh well... Our tax money at work.

 

I was under the impression it was the club house for the local MC. I could be mistaken.

I think Abilene needs a smartphone app like the new and improved Pilot App... Works like the CAT Weigh My Truck App... Preloaded the required data and EFS Card and poof... Done.

 

When I hit that issue I just use the prior load number I was on and it seems to work.

 

Trucks are Bills domain. It will be an automatic green truck with yellow letters. Lol . But seriously, availability plays biggest part. He will try to get u a mack if going ne regional because they are smaller

So far ive been leaving sunday mid morning and home friday afternoon for reset, and usually a night during week since i live by the yard.

Otr is 1 day per 6 out, ne is a weekly reset.

Ive found in my short time here leaving the ne costs me money.

Abilene is not 24 hour dispatch and not a preplanning company. These things have a limiting effect on chasing miles in a regional setting. Also running regional a tradeoff between miles and hometime happens. But i like running the ne regional and found it works good for me.
