You want all chains to apply as much down force as possible on a coil.

 

Yeah, I hate when I hit a bump and the coil hops up off the deck.... Hitting brakes? Nah, no need to stop forward motion, I'm sure it'll stop as soon as it hits my cab....

I have one of those loads now , it's a load of loading dock levelers .
Looking at it from the ground and sides all looks fine and not going anywhere .
Looking at it in the mirrors makes me nervous.

 

Those rail cars we hauled, the guys loading them stated that they looked much bigger off the ground. I said "You should see them in the mirror"... LOL

 

Easy solution.

Cover your mirrors and you won't be nervous.
