Except for the cams, sounds just like the Knight I worked for for 5 yrs!!
Used Qcom to beat drivers over the head for rolling down hill above govd speed, no U-turns which I did all the time (but safely and legally where OK ) , hard brake notice which always was considered the drivers fault, and of course their stupid version of the Sitting Duck policy!
Remember I had a hard brake leaving L.A. once where had to to avoid a car moving in my lane and not looking! My Miller beer load shifted past and over the bulkhesd ruining some 12 pks...of course it was MY fault at the beer dist in Phx but Knight never mentioned!

A new driver can certainly do worse. Thing is I'm not a new driver. I was looking at them as they're based in Phoenix, have a terminal in PA, and would be a good fit for what I need, which is home time in both locations. All the other stuff gives me GREAT PAUSE as to whether to look at them any further, though.

How new are you? Unless you were part of their Squire program, had to have a min of 6 mos experience..used to be 1 yr when I hired on!
-
Well at least the dudes working in the office will turn off the air conditioning when they ask you not to idle in solidarity with the driver. Am i right?
OverDrive Thanks this. -
I've been doing this trucking thing since 1998, so not new at all. I could probably teach the Squire program...lolrachi Thanks this.

I hired on w/Knight w/5yrs experience when at that time I might have been condidered a rookie! Most drivers back then in 2003 had more experience than me at Knight as they esteemed the experience and Knight was known as a drivers co.
But as they grew from 700 trucks then to over 4000 now, many of the experienced drivers left as they know how to recognize B.S.
And it soon became obvious they wanted rookie drivers (less than 2 yrs exp) that they could push around since they didnt know any better..Voyager1968 Thanks this. -
Do you know the customer that they U-turned by? I probably did the same thing out of SLC..

Hope you got out while the gettin' is good.

No, but it caused alot of ruckus. The cams detect uturns now and then are sent to safety. Have fun pulling out of the Idaho Falls inspection lane.... Its a U turn!

Went back for a few months and left again, that place has become a joke.
