Yes yes she was I'll link the video here when I get home. At the 45 second mark that's how I feel and it's my absolute favorite part of the video.

This is what happens when a driver doesn't use a load bar and drives 300 miles. My first 3 stops are all in a pile at the back doors. Took me and another driver an hour to sort it out in the yard. Load bars are your friends, people.

Oh as promised from earlier today:

Seconds 0:30-0:47 pretty much summed up my mood yesterday, best part of this video bar none.

Now I don't know about any of you...,but this is just a great music video and I wouldn't have been so hasty to dump Alicia Silverstone, but that's how jack arses do things as Big Don would say.

Does Anyone know why US Foods in Cleveland is having such a hard time retaining drivers?

From what I understand some divisions have a harder time retaining drivers why I don't know. Mine isnt one of them we have a lot of guys with over 10 years in.

My first stop on Tuesday is an account GFS shares with US Foods and I think they buy more from US Foods then they do GFS, customers love US Foods they do a lot of business here in northeast, Ohio and places must love them, I don't know if they have good selection or what it is, but we share some accounts with them, but people do not really ever leave US 100%. However I guess to be fair we have some die hard 20+ year customers here at GFS too, soooooo as this girl I once dated used to say among other things that's how that goes.

Anyhow first stop of the day I get there, US Foods 48' trailer is parked in the lot and it's not really in my way or anything so no biggie. Anyhow I back into where I normally go. This places has a dock, but there dock doesn't work for our side door freezer and with 68 cases coming out of the side the dock is a total waste, plus they have to load there own trucks at the dock so it really doesn't pay to use.

Anyhow I'm fighting with "over sized" freezer at 4am trying to wrestle several big stacks of big over size boxes of buns out of the feezer. Yeah half my trailer was freezer and tomorrow is going to be more of the same. The bulk head was literally almost in the middle of the trailer. Lots of freezer all side unload today was a full day because when I was all done with my route I had a back haul so it was full day all around today.

About two weeks has passed since my face-to-face interview with Sysco in ABQ. They asked the usual "how would you serve us" questions and gave me a road test. Things seemed alright, but so far, no call-back. Considering I drove all the way from Clovis for the position, I'm wondering if there's a priority given to local addresses when hiring.
Not exactly hurting for money, but work is getting kind of slow again at "The River". Mainly the dairy I'm on is kind of in limbo and their chiller is down. Next stab I'm looking at is possibly BE Keith and that Labatt outfit if there's no longer any dice with Sysco.

I'd expect they would prioritize local applicants over commuters...it's a reliability thing. You call the commuter in to cover a run on short notice, and you still have to wait an hour or more, meanwhile the customer's jumping up and down screaming a blue streak into the phone. Local guy can get there quicker, and possibly save someone from an aneurysm in the process.

I live 6 ish miles from work, and as a result I seem to get called in to cover things more frequently, despite being quite low on the totem pole as seniority goes (51 of 60, at the moment). They do give me the option of refusal usually, but hey, why leave money laying on the table?
