I would say we are lucky not to have a cleanliness issue at our DC. There are some trucks that might not be as clean as others but far from dirty.
I have my own truck I keep it polished inside and out. If someone should use it on my day off the only thing i ask is to leave the inside clean. I don't care if you wash the outside or not but leave the inside clean the way you found it.
If your DC is having a issue its a direct reflection of you management not supporting your and doing their job. This stuff is not tolerated at our DC.
And no it's not a perfect job as I have yet to find one driving a truck but it's at the top of the list.
Walmart here I come!

I've only had one issue with another drivers truck that I can remember. He had left all his personal things, including bedding in the truck. I asked for another, got one and went on.
When I'm off, truck washed, Windows cleaned by hand, vacuumed, all bedding removed, most personal items taken out. That said, there may still be a little dust in the corners, I'm not a spit polish type person.I don't spend my money having the company wheels polished. But the tractor is ready for any driver who needs to use it.drozzer69 and grabberblue12 Thank this. -

Sometimes I think people lose perspective when the start working here. They were so used to being treated like garbage, worrying about work and if the company will be around, worrying about paychecks, worrying if the truck would get fixed and if it would be right, etc etc. Then they work here for a few and that all gets left behind. Since you are stuck in a truck, and thinking too much, small annoyances become huge issues. They become as bad, in your mind, as the other things used to be.
There are always some of the chronic complainers at the DC's (not saying that is you, backissore). You learn who they are pretty quickly and try not to get roped into talking to them for too long. Why have someone make you miserable. Life is too short.
On the other hand, if the job is not what you like, then you always have the option of going elsewhere. Not every job is right for every person.drozzer69, noninetofive and grabberblue12 Thank this. -
