Walmart here I come!

My week on the truck with the trainer and my first week solo, I grossed almost $3600 ($3592 to be exact) for that pay period. And the first day of that pay period I wasn't driving and thus didn't get "driving pay". Also, we didnt have any multi-stop loads or live loads/unloads while I was out with the trainer.

$3600 for about 5200 miles over that period is pretty good. I personally don't know of many places where a company driver can make that kind of money.

It will be interesting to me to see what I made for this pay period when I was solo the entire period.

My phone interview went well. Kinda. I passed the interview, but man. I was a wreck. He (his name is escaping me right now) told me that he would be sending my info to the DC I applied to within a week, and they should contact me within 2 weeks. I suppose I should brush up on my by the book pre trip skills.

 

Getting on a plane next Friday guess them bag fees are taken care of!

Good stuff WallyWife and when I see them chronic complainers on the yard I say hi and I keep walking . The grass isn't Always green on the other side and never forget where you came from. Those same guys crying all the time just leave and try to shutdown at a truck stop at 800 at night LOL you going to start crying dam why I left Walmart I can't even park no where at night . No more DC's or stores to layover at . It's the little things gentlemen never take them for granted. Theire is no trucking job better than Walmart we all work here know that we all have bad days and sometimes a bad week but a bad at Walmart is a good day somewhere else.

 

New to forum. I applied for sealy,tx. dc on July 21st. Still have not heard anything. Job submission status says under consideration. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am currently driving for knight transportation.
