The old 40/20 maxis. I hated those. Some fella said hey lets cut a 40 in half and stick on the back. Idiot.

My trailers are the same length and I'm not messing with a dolly. I think the pull trailer in the back makes it easier. I can do a straight back pretty far

Old Dominion has a bunch of Heartland swing door 53's chopped down to 48' with rollup doors.

I saw a UPS driver at the Terre Haute terminal back a set of doubles up into a dock door at 90 degree. He did it first try. I was impressed then and even more so now that I have my CDL. Heck I had to do a serpentine back into a grain corral for the 4th spot in for a spot last week and did it first try and I was happy about that and it is only with one trailer so I don't think that I could do a set if doubles. Doesn't mean I wouldn't try it if someone offered.

Did a short back last night. Got them about 40-50 feet. Could've gone about 10-15 feet further before a pull up to straighten them out but I just needed to clear that tank to get the tractor setup for the U turn. Practice, practice, practice.

Yea, we have Rodeos now and then. I cannot recall my last one except that I was only of only two to not knock over the balls, the trick was the last pair of balls was rubbing the steers. Everything else was discarded as a distraction.

It would be cool to go to one of those events. I wonder if they are in California

I know of at least one carrier in my area that devotes a driver specifically to competition. All he does is practice, no runs or anything else. Sweet gig if you perform well, I guess, but this year he got shown up rather badly.

    I like stories like that.

Takes practice, but everything is visual on a B-Train trailer...

I worked at Yellow for a few years, and the A-trains can be tough... Problem is, the dolly is eight feet wide, but the pups are 8' 6"... You cannot see the dolly track in your mirror.
