then he admitted fault at the scene, this is great news for you.
yes you will get dinged on your DMV file at your home state, you must report this to them in x amount of time.
you will have to show this accident (non-preventable) on any application you fill out, for up to 5 years, depending on your state time frame.
other than that, you should have NO problems.

I had a dispatcher with 150 souls in addition to my own. He promised us all a free dinner of our choice if we got so many miles safety free. (Now there is a condrundum)
I reported blown bolts on the doors that morning, hours after he announced we all won a dinner. Mine was the first problem 13 miles over. I told him to take my place and feed someone else. -

OK, i'm going to try this again. Yes it is true that you as a not at fault driver can be assessed CSA points. However several things have to happen first. Look at the below it is from the link I posted before.
Q: What data will CSA use to track, measure, and evaluate carriers?
A: The CSA systems will use the following:
- Crash reports provided by the states for DOT recordable crashes.
- Roadside inspection reports provided by the states, and all violations listed on the reports.
- Violations discovered during interventions conducted by state or federal investigators.
As to the reporting of an accident on future applications most of the time the company is only interested in at fault accidents. As a good practice I would list all accidents regardless of fault up to the full 10 years as mandated by the FMCSA. -
Now the people I'm delivering to are all pissy because of the damaged trailer saying they told swift to get it fixed first but we were told to just deliver then head to the terminal. So now I'll be sitting for how ever long. Yay.
