I just got hired on at a fairly new DC in OK. The lady that runs the transportation portion of the DC says that one can make more at a grocery dc

 

I glad you got hired I don't make more hauling grocery but maybe in Oklahoma

 

That all comes down to the old discussion as to whether you make more making lots of deliveries( which grocery DCs do) and shorter miles vs more miles and less activity. There's lots of variables , what type of Backhauls - live load vs drop/ hook , for example are available in the area. Are you in a high traffic volume area, such as the drivers out of Porterville and Apple Valley, who may sit in Los Angeles traffic often. We all make good money. I prefer more miles to city, multiple drop loads, but that's me.

 

I'm ready for what ever task they have there. I'm well deservant of a career position after all the layoffs, buy outs, and bankruptcy/ out of business deals ive had to deal with over the past ten years

 

So I applied online I was under consideration now it says application received but today I went and did my hazmat, tankers, and doubles/triples... Do I wait for someone to contact me about my new updated endorsements or wait till they call me then tell them?

I am hoping that since mine changed I will have the same experience as you How long did it take from the time the status changed till you got the call?
