K&B transportation: beware

I work at K&B. I have been upset with them on several occasions. I realized however that my problem was always with a particular person, not the whole company.

By using documentation and the chain of command, every problem I had (and addressed in this manner) has been resolved in my favor. Drivers mostly complain to each other or get in a fight with the person who they feel is treating them unfairly. If instead, they maintained maturity and took their problem to senior management, their (legitimate) concerns would likely get addressed.

The more wrong another person acts, the more right you have to be - that is the only way forward.

 

Cruise ships! 8.25 am hour for 6 month straight without day off. Yep awesome life outside of trucking

 

We should make a list of jobs that we think are cool, or that everyone thinks pays more but doesn't...

 

I think you'll be more surprised at the list of jobs
That you think pay less, but actually make more than us.

You get what you give.
As with ANY company you'll find bad apples if you look hard enough. I've had incidents with (night) dispatchers myself but going "Rambo" on the phone never solves anything.
They have helped me out on several occasions. Even fronted money for a dental emergency that I paid back in a fashion that didn't hurt my weekly pay.
After going through a couple of dispatchers in the beginning I finally found one that fits my personality. We cut up and joke daily. Heck I even had several pizzas delivered to the night crew once which was greatly appreciated. Once again you get back what you put out. Be respectful and you'll get respect in turn.
