Stutus changed to application received Thursday at noon and got the call later that evening. Unfortunately, I was driving at the time and missed the call and then couldn't get in touch with them Thursday night. Then had dental surgery Friday morning so I couldn't call back until after noon but finally got back in touch Friday afternoon and have my phone interview Tuesday. So based on my personal experience, applicants shouldn't panic if they miss the first call from Walmart. They understand that we're drivers and can't always answer the phone right away. I'm very excited and nervous about this interview. I've wanted to drive for Walmart for quite awhile.

How strict are they on the 250 miles radius from your home address? The DC's that are within my 250 mile radius seldom hire however, the DC that is 266 miles from my home hires more frequently. Should I apply for the DC that is 266 miles away and possibly get denied knowing I'm 16 miles over? If I did get denied (because of being over 250 miles), do you think that would hurt me when I reapply to an opening that is within the 250 mile radius?

If you don't live within the 250 radius, you can still apply, but would have to relocate to be within 250 miles. I applied once to another location that was 252 miles away and was still required to relocate if I accepted the job.

The difference I think is you got the call originally on Thursday, he got his late Friday, and they had to fill the interview spots.
