So it won't idle at all in the cold? What the he'll? I've slept in a truck when it was single digits and let me tell u...it chills you to the bone. No amount of layers will stop the shivering. How is it even possible a company won't allow any type of heating system?

On a side note to idle your truck just un plug the "ambient temperature censor" Google it to find out what it looks like. It will either be in the front of the truck between the radiator and grill or back by the fifth wheel on the frame

Maybe I'm not making myself clear...
Once the temperature drops below 34°, then the idle limiter is overridden; the truck will continue to run for us as long as we need to run heat without having to do the cruise control trick. Same thing if it's hot, we can keep our A/C going as long as we need without the cruise on while we're parked.

I'd do the cruise control trick anyways. Idling at 600 rpm isn't good for the motor. You also get better water flow for better heat when it's really cold. And better ac when it's hot.

I haven't read the owners manual but someone on here posted something about the detroits idling at 600.

Your laptop sucks. Buy a better battery or a spare battery.

I need to idle my truck.
    So you can keep warm?
    No.
    So you can keep cool?
    No.
So you can use your microwave?
No. So I can play my games!

Sorry, but silly stuff like that is the reason companies do stuff like this.

Like mentioned, find a company with APU's.

What's the world coming to? I need to idle so I can play with my gaming laptop. :|

I actually had a few games in my laptop for when our truck was parked.

I discovered that gaming rots the soul because you are a lump in that chair you just finished 500 miles for the day.

What we did better was being together watching and enjoying movies inside the sleeper.

Hey, even trying to sleep in 45 degrees or 50, is still nippy. Like sleeping in a tent outside. Like I say, every company I worked for had some stupid idling policy, but when you backed them into a corner with your hands around their neck ( not literally, of course) they usually gave in. They finally realize, ( after someone crash's because they didn't sleep), it makes that 10 dollars in fuel seem pretty cheap, but still are going to piss and moan about it. That's what a boss does.

    Sure thing Snowwy.

I had to put down the keyboard a while. It's been interesting today.

I see that fuel hourly burn like a paper cut. They always HURT. Even a mulitmillion carrier.

That's true, and that's exactly how a boss sees it, however, I still say, it pales in comparison to a billion dollar lawsuit.( strange, the word "million" just doesn't have the zing it used to) Penny wise, and dollar foolish.
