I'll take any excuse to use my air horn. It's actually physically impossible for me not to blow it while passing a heard of goats, just in case they are the fainting kind.

Your parents never let you shift or steer when you were a little kid? It's not like we were in Chicago traffic.

You'll get a air blast out of the horns from me upon request. The boss just got me a set of nice train horns(thanks to Union Pacific RR) have to keep the dust out ya know!!

Yes they certainly did, at slow speeds, on back roads, in a 4wheeler. Believe this or not, I drove a truck before my dad did. I basicly taught my dad on driving a truck, he was to BIG to set on my lap. You should NEVER have on your lap or in your hands anything you can't toss in the case of a emergency. Like a tire blowing, getting cut off, person or animal jumping out in front of you. People just don't have any good common sense anymore. There are a lot of cool things that you can do that are not safe. Why would anyone put someone, or something they love in harms way? -
Giving a tug of my train horn is great for the kids but ages the parents bout 3yrs. I try only to do this when there isn't much traffic around as I don't want the other motorist to have a pucker factor of 8-10.

Gotta give those kids a quick horn blown on request. Made my day as a kid.

I loved to get the trucks to blow their horn when I was a kid. When I am out on the open road I plan to continue the tradition if the traffic allows it.
