My husband and I are wanting to get into expedieting trucking and though we working toward getting our cdl b license we have found a xompany that will hire us without a cdl. We beleive this would be a good oppurtunity to gain experience and make a little money. They are offering us between 800.00-1200.00 per driver per week. Does this sound to be a decent pay. Is there any advice someone can offer.

When you say expedited do you mean driving a straight truck with a sleeper? If so that's good money. If you and the husband will be driving a tractor/trailer you should aim for at least $1,200 a week per driver.

Look at tomorrow, not just today.

Do most of the expediting gigs require a Class B? If so, and you opt to pass, you may be limiting yourself if this gig isn't the right fit for you. Back to square 1 and lots of time wasted.

So they will hire you without a CDL? Do I have that correct? What will you be driving? Van, Cube Van, pick-up?

I say yes go do it, find out if the whole driving life is for you. But, a whole lot of red flags alert experienced drivers to these trucking jobs. Would like to have more info before we assure you to jump off into it.

Overall I see a lot of people go down the road assuming this trucking thing will be for them, after committing to some $4-$6K for school, quitting their job and commitments, and buying a bunch of crap they assume they need for the truck, only to find out a few weeks into it, they don't like driving so much, they cannot handle a truck, they miss home, and they cannot live without the conveniences of life.

    Florida Playboy Thanks this.

The job does not require a cdl b license that is something we want to do own our own. The job just require for us to have a regular drivers license, medical card and some logging experience. This is oppurtunity to do something we always want to do while gaining experience so we can move up to the next level. I have researched it as much as possible, trying to find all and information about being on the road and expedieting. We will be driving a box truck with a sleeper. Thanks for all the advice and please continue offer any other advice that may helps us.

I say give it a shot
There's a lot of people humping 65 ft of truck not making that much.
If it turns out different, walk away.
