He's not to computer savvy so I'm posting for him.
He's been driving for USA for 23 years, has an absolute amazing driving record and part of the million mile club.
He's been training for about 8 years making good money and all of the sudden they start cutting back and now he's not training and making 20% less or more.
He and my mom are down in the dumps. Are there any real good driving jobs for someone like him with tons of experience and a great record? He's still it 62 years old.

Where is his location; we need to know the hiring area he lives in.

That's odd,did USA give dad a reason?

What does he consider 'good money'? Some people think that bringing home $500 per week is good money. Others think that $1500 per week is just 'ok' money.

They live in southern Ohio.
Just cutbacks I guess. He was thinking of going back over the road, at least I heard him say that but I do not know what it means.
Years ago he was looking into the NASCAR transporter jobs but no ooenings we're available -
Well I think it went from like 90k to about 65 as it stands now. Not sure how long it'll last but if he's bent out of shape it can't be good -
Have him get on indeed.com and look around at the openings in and around Columbus, since i updated mine last month, I've been inundated with calls and emails from local company's up here around lima.
-
He should probably look for opportunities with local companies. I drive a day cab for a regional carrier with about 85 trucks, work 5-6 days per week and sleep in my own bed 6 out of 7 nights per week (my choice), and average $80K+. He can do better than schlepping it as a trainer for USA Truck.
Oh, and I've had my CDL for less than 5 years. -
Here's some great paying jobs:
A&R Logistics
Bulkmatic
Both these are non-hazmat and can make good paychecks. Probably $60K minimum. My former neighbor makes $72K at A&R.
Linehaul (drop & hook)
Old Dominion
Estes
Saia -
That's common in any type business, an employees pay gets too high, they force them out or fire them. Best move is to move on and don't look back. The company couldn't care less how much stress he's under.Big Don Thanks this.
