You might as well be shaking a magic 8 ball.

How are we supposed to know?

No, you won't, park and come back in springtime. I'll take care of those winter loads for you.

If you're worth your salt, you'll find winters may yield the best money. Find a way to go under, over or around Wx and beat all your other drivers into a region and get the first and best loads out. At a large carrier, you are in fact competing with other drivers ... first empty, first loaded. Winter Wx can cause slow-downs, but it also causes complete shutdowns for many who have a fear of winter driving. Use that to your advantage but know your limits and don't do anything stupid causing even more loss of productivity.

I stay rolling. I spend more time running 40 than 70 or 80 but I only shut down for weather about once every 4 years or so.

Your DM has a boss. The Operations Manager. And he has a boss The General Manager. And they are both paid well by their boss, to make sure the DM & the planners keep that truck moving, they can't financially afford to let it sit.

I made the most in winter hauling all the loads that other drivers were to scared to haul cause of snow, ice etc. Anyonr can drive in summer so all our so called drivers would come out of thr wood work and be available to haul then, which meant loads spread to more people.
