Pump Down.

    It's been taught if your getting dot do a pump down before officer gets to you. All trls are equipped with auto adjusters.

    No need to hold if u have a trolly valve or trailer disconnect.

    I give 3 or so hard presses of the brake pedal when I hook to a trailer, better piece of mind on break adjustment for both the tractor and trailer. Started doing this a few years back when these newer brakes would chatter rather than grab and stop. A quick adjustment via the brake pedal seemed to take care of that problem and it became a habit.

    And yes, always do it when getting pulled for an inspection, just to help ensure proper brake adjustment (providing adjusters are working properly).
