I worked yesterday and today. Gosh today was a real behind cooker. Hotter then a frying pan on a stove. Malfunctioning refer unit cases gallor, I still have this stupid cold and now I have a partial headache which thankfully came on way later in the day due to partial dehydration. Sweating like crazy all day today. Oh well at least I am making good money.
Did have a few returns though, which is usually how it goes. You go and make a 900 case route done with no returns and then end up with another route where you get some returns it happens.
I feel like duck diver out here busy busy busy.

Hot here also had more than I normally do on Tuesday 750 cases 14 stops. Heard through the grapevine we are gonna have a rebid on routes soon so I have to look forward to possible losing my route but that's how it is being on the seniority board.
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
I was 845 cases today with 15 stops, so you and I were in the same ball park. Good news is end of this month I am eligible for company profit sharing which comes at the end of the year so that aught to boost my retirement savings a bit.
Pintlehook and Cardfan89 Thank this. -
Max that bad boy out. When I first started in food service my trainer said something that has stuck with me "make all this good money now when your young because one day your not gonna be able to push this two wheeler anymore". Food service is a Young mans game save your money when your can
Mike2633 and Pintlehook Thank this. -
Well I've done most of the saving LOL! I still live at home LOL although I could move out if I wanted to and actually probably am going to probably sometime after the new year there's no rush, but 2017 I think defiantly will be the year I move out, I've pretty much lived at home as long as I could, it's just time is all.

I live in my childhood home that I inherented after my parents passed away.... my wife wants to build a new house and that's the plan but mortgage free is pretty sweet not gonna lie lol
-
I'm sorry to hear that your parents passed away. Mortgage Free is pretty sweet I was going to try to go for that, but I do not think it will happen however I maybe able to get a mortgage from my folks instead of the bank have to think on that for a minute or if I have to get a bank mortgage at this point it's not looking like it will be a 30 year deal. Probably 15 year.
I do not see my self with a 30 year mortgage probably 15 and try to pay that off in 10-12 years will see of course this is all conjecture but, you never know what the future holds, however sometimes you do kind of have an idea you at least have to have some kind of general path or plan to take obviously you get detoured, but certainly need to be headed in some kind of direction.
Mortgage or rent free is pretty nice though hard to give that up.Cardfan89 Thanks this. -
Well everyone it's 5:33am est I'm here taking a short break waiting for my third stop. Hot as blazes out and the Suns not even up.
Another heavy day almost fully cubed today. First two stops were a slow go to get off. -
@Mike2633, this one's for you.... a view of GFS Aberdeen from my rearview mirror today. Kicked off 162 cases there a few hours ago. Very thankful for the walk into the cooler to get paperwork from the office...it's 94F out today and the trailer was an oven. I was almost going to complain that the girl had my paperwork ready too quickly!
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Worked nine hours on Monday and it was business as usual, no Holiday pay at all.
Mike2633 Thanks this.
