My company 2015 Cascadia had it's OEM Dometic fridge crap out, and boss is too cheap to fix it ($200 est) because "some of our older trucks don't even have one, you're lucky you did have one for awhile." I had it removed from it's mounting hole (under the TV shelf on the passenger side cabinets) so does anyone know of a decent AC powered replacement that will fit in there fairly nice? I have a 1500W inverter.

Cheaper to just pay to fix that one. Or else measure and had hit the pawn shops. New ones close to 500

    They're not cheap

I too have a 2015 Freightliner with factory Dometic. About a month ago, mine began running continuous 24/7 (no frost, and keeps temps right and frozen stuff frozen). I hope it holds up until I can get back to the barn and see what they'll do with it.

I can turn the thermostat way down far enough to where it'll shut off, but when it comes back on it will run all the time, again, still.

I know a 12v replacement is pricey, that's why I want an AC powered apartment/hotel unit that will just sit in the hole.

I don't think you want an AC fridge in a truck but okay.

I've got a Galanz GL43 that I bought for probably around $200 at a Wal-Mart. It's 4.3 cu ft and fits above the bottom cabinet mounted on plywood on the passenger side of my 2015 Cascadia. I've had it for 6 months without any issues at all. When it cycles on it will draw 80-120 watts. I put a baby safety latch to hold the door closed while driving. I think it was from a brand called Safety First or something from Home Depot.

Wal Mart has a 1.7 fridge freeze for 59 bucks
    I'm running it on a 1500 and a microwave
Can't say that it'll fit in the space but I love mine
I came from the same truck as you and went to a KW with no fridge for a different company
    Best 59 I ever spent

Just strap it to your passenger seat. I bought an Igloo 28 cooler, it works better than the POS Dometic.

Dude, that will rattle like crazy going down the road most likely. At least that was my experience. Those dorm fridges typically aren't made to bounce around or be used that way. I'm sure there are exceptions but that's my experience. Shell out the two hundies and fix the old one.

My wally world ac dorm fridge is 7 yes old, strapped to the hard floor. It's still running fine in the 1500w inverter I bought the same day.

There are literally hundreds of us in the faceplace trucking groups with the same setup. Don't buy into the folks who don't run one telling you it won't work.
