Yup green cable that goes along with air lines. Ive had abs light problems since the beginning but now that i installed a new straight green pig tail the abs light illuminates with right turn signal

Switch them back, that cable might be bad. If you have a volt meter you can ohm it to check for internal breaks.

Power to the abs is supplied by the center wire of your trailer cord with the key on.With the truck and trailer hooked up- turn the key on- the abs light should come on for 3 seconds, then go off, and you should hear a "chuff" of air at the trailer axles. If the abs light comes on each time you apply the brakes, the abs is being powered by the brake light circuit. This is a backup method to have abs braking in the event power is not being supplied constantly by the center wire of your trailer cord. If the abs light blinks with the right turn signal you have a short somewhere between the turn signal wire and the power to the abs system.

Switching the green cable back to the old one won't do anything since the abs light was illuminating on old cable i just installed a new because i thought that was a problem. The only difference is that after installing new cable abs light is triggered by turn signal. If i turn ignition to "on" dash light comes up for 3 seconds and i can hear to "chuff" but abs light on trailer is not coming up. Its gotta be some electrical problem with the truck

So with the new cable, the trailer abs light comes on whenever you use the turn signal but not the brakes, but doesn't stay on?

And the reason you switched pigtails in the first place was because the trailer's abs light was on to begin with?

Do I have all of that correct?

Yup basically. The new pig tail is still causing abs light to come on when i break but now on top of that switching right turn signal is also causing it. The reason for swapping pig tails was that when i hooked up to my buddy's new trailer it was doing same thing triggering abs light when breaks were applied ( both dash and trailer)

And also when i apply the breaks when truck is either running or not i can hear multiple "chuffs" of air along with abs light coming on. This happens on both his and my trailer and on both pig tails old and new one. Swapping pig tail to new one only created/added another problem which is turn signal

Ok, you really need to check and see if that center prong (blue wire) is providing a constant 12vdc when your key switch is on. So much for the turn signal issue, that seems like a possible short in the new pigtail.

If the center prong isn't providing 12vdc, then you'll need to check your trl abs relay and fuse.

If you have a light tester, use it to check that center prong for power with the key switch on. And then turn your truck off, and turn your hazards on and check that center prong again. If you get intermittent power that's synced with the flash of your hazards, then you have a brand new bad cable.
