My god, the idiocracy is stunning! Sounds like a 10-2 o'clock only law, better pull over to change your radio station, or turn on the head lights... But getting out of 1st gear is going to be the biggest challenge.

Wow. What's next? Pull over every time you want a sip of coffee?
CoveringBases, Terry270 and TheDude1969 Thank this. -
Wow. I don't live in Canada, but that's just ridiculous. We run in the oilfield, with several trucks on each job. Just like today, there are 12 trucks making circles on the job I'm on. We are in constant contact with each other to let the next truck know where to unload, which way to back in, what kind of sand to load next, etc. No phone service at a lot of these locations, so that's out of the question. It would be a LOOOONG day for everyone if we didn't have radios.

We all know what happens when people can't cope with over management. They blow up and shoot up everyone in the office.
With all the BS happening everywhere in this industry, I think we're going to see truckers just pushing the EJECT out of life button and take it out on their office.Dye Guardian and TheDude1969 Thank this. -
Wonder if those who are making this law have ever used a cb.
It's not like a phone. Pass information to the people going the other way if there's bad weather or traffic accident or whatever up ahead. How hard is it? Am I the only one that feels they are regulating for the sake of regulating?j_martell, Ougigoug, Dye Guardian and 3 others Thank this. -
Big Brother protecting you from yourself. They can ban anything in the name of safety.

I would have expected something like that to come out of Ontario first... but Alberta?
Dye Guardian Thanks this. -
