Just wait until they start handing out exemptions to this segment of the industry because it's time sensitive and that segment because they goods are perishable

Not handing out, we'll need to start buying overspeed permits or something of that sort.

Any of you guys drive two lanes, trying to pass someone doing 54 in a 55 in a 63 mph truck? That's dangerous

Here in Australia, speed limiters have been Mandatory since the year 2000. All trucks built after 1988 (I think) are required by law to be limited to 100KMH (62MPH) Our version of your DOT can pull you over for a "random" ECM dump & if your speed limiter is set higher than 100kmh severe Fines ($2500+) & loss of licence & cancellation of the Trucks Registration (after the 3rd strike)

However, I am led to believe LOL

At the back of the Transmission where the sensor goes, inside there is a "pulse Wheel" with 11 teeth. if you were to replace that with a Pulse wheel with only 9 teeth. you will have to travel 22% further/faster to produce the same number of "pulses" without interfering with any of the ECM settings & an ECM dump will still show that the limiter is set ta 100Kmh..

There are mechanics who specialize in deletes, why not in running around the ecm speed thing too?

Was reading on some of this proposed rule, seen where it says they may later on try to go back as far as trucks made after 1990, if it goes through at all. Insurance companies going to love all the cars jammed under back of trucks. Wonder who's fault that will be? Oh yea I forgot, the truck.

Someone would have to be going more than 5 under on a stretch where I can see for miles before I'll attempt that.

Because, when they plug into the ECM, It will tell then the Date Time, serial number of the device that altered the paremeters, & their subscriber number to Cummins (or whoever) software. They can then charge that person/organization with a criminal offence (Altering a speed limiter)..

Yeah I read something about that too. They are "seeking input on the costs associated with limiting older trucks" or some such jargon.

I'm sure there are FMCSA and DOT folks here reading all of these work arounds so they can figure out how to word the law. Hello everyone.

I think I should wire up a camera on the back of my trailer. That rear facing camera plus my dash cam and my rear facing mirror cams will show the dangerous position to which drivers are being subjected. Drivers are worthless slaves to them. Dead drivers are easily replaced by a change to immigration policy.

I'm going get a decal made up for the side of my truck...."DRIVER'S LIFE MATTERS"
