My dad taught me how to drive his truck. Don't have a cdl though. Simply wanted to learn how to drive how he could. Learned quite a bit from him. He's just telling me to call around to different companies and see which has the best offer (school + good wages)
We're both from Florida, His felony is from 2014 3rd degree grand theft.

I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but a felony that is only 2 years old might put him right out of the game.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Thank you for your response, I like to be generally positive about everything. Out of the many trucking companies out there, There has to be one company that will hire him. Reading alot through the forums there are people in much worse positions than he is in. He can pass everything else just fine. The single thing hindering him is that record from years ago.
-
Carolina Cargo maybe. No school but if you go that route the pay is lousy because it is a second chance company. They may not even hire him esp for grand theft. I would be scared to put him in a company truck and it isn't but a 2 year old charge.

If my friend doesn't find employment anyone can give me some advice? I'll go solo if needed.
clean record. -
I'm impressed he's out of prison already.
Most companies won't get you home to see your wife and kids.
Not sure what the policy is with parole officers.TequilaSunrise Thanks this. -
He never went to prison. I took him out of jail right after he got arrested.
-
Has he been to trial?
-
Yes, he went to trial he spent 30 days in jail. (i was mistaken about my previous post. Just talked to him)
-
Oh ok I think he will not be able to drive in the near future. If you need training I would say Millis if possible.
firemedic2816 and Lepton1 Thank this.
