Been through Oregon once, spent Sunday night/Monday morning at the Pilot in Ontario, Ore. for 12.5 hrs once, combination of 10 off and 2.5 waiting for the permit, WHICH my company had submitted for the previous Thursday before I left. It was good for 7 days. Rolled across the scale, made sure to dot my i's and cross my T's before I left. Got waved through. On the way back from Seattle, had more of a problem at Umatilla I recall. Took my bird dog on that trip, they were doing construction on 84, came out of the construction zone and zipped up to 65 mph, not two miles down the road it chirped, I backed off, come under a bridge, Mr. Patrolman was hiding behind the bridge support, I waved as I went by. I was trying to set a record, Tacoma to Denver in 18 hrs, (left Seattle at Noon, told me boss I'd be waiting for him in the yard at 6 am) almost made it, but a trooper in Utah tried to rain on my parade and made me find a hidey hole for awhile, didn't make it until Noon.

I hate it when they want to see my receipts. I usually tell them I mailed them to my boss.
Sometimes they ask Why. I tell them it's a small company and the business manager needs them, my bols and logs every few weeks. They still ##### and Mark it down on the inspection sheet.
