Last word from my hubby is that they have to have the trucks and trailers to the yards by midnight on Sat... the insurance on the equipment ends at that time. He made it to Lexington NE to get a load and on the way saw another Priority driver's truck on the side of the road.

He contacted his dispatcher and come to find out the driver was arrested, do not know why. Another Priority driver and my hubby went and got the truck and took it to Tyson in Lexington. We are unsure yet what will happen with the guys stuff in the truck. Jeff was going to secure it and see what they wanted him to do with it. We will try and get it to the guys house and not the yard, otherwise who knows what will happen to it.

This whole thing is such a crock of crap!!!!! Jeff has already stated that he will park the truck and trailer come midnight Sat. night if he has not made it to the yard.

I will let him know however about the seperation papers and have him get Russ on making copies as well....

As the amount of drivers from priority, it is around 700-800 drivers...

yuppers. but they want nothing else from Priority. So to the auction block and unemplooyment line they go.

 

I just talked to OOIDA and they told me that Priority went bankrupt. He is suggesting that my hubby leave his truck where it is and just come on home. Needless to say he is still worried about leaving the truck and it going on his DAC report. The guy at OOIDA said that the chances of them getting left high and dry is way to high to even think about doing this last load and get stuck in Indiana.. sigh

 

the way i understand it there was 300 trucks in the farmington terminal alone.and it looks it....

 

I am one of those high and dry Priority drivers..... I can't help but agree with others that they treated drivers unfairly...... It is too bad cause it wasn't always that way.... When I first joined Priority miles and loads were good and Management at that time truly cared for drivers. They wanted the work done and maintained their trucks well..... Their real demise almost a 1 1/2 yrs ago.. When VP of operations and son of fomer owner and founder of Co. left things began to go down hill fast to the events of this past Friday.... Personally
I was able to secure another position within 24hrs. I like to think that it was because I have always delivered OT and both my DAC and MVR are in pristeen shape..... I know what you all say about the quality of the drivers over the last few years. But it was not always that way and I did know a number of others who much like myself. Took pride in their work,their equipment, and their customers..... Those individuals just got a raw deal all the way around
but I will miss the time that we all spent together when we could

 

I am another priority driver just heartbroken hear in chesterton i got the news at the budwiser DC center in loveland CO that the company was closing i have been hear for 4 months and i really enjoyed driving for them got great miles had a awsome dispatcher. My past employer let me go becasue of lack of work doing local hear in CT and now this happens
Priority had there problems but it was not bad at all, someone told me that celadon will not be hirring any priority drivers, so i am in a jam i have apps in with Arnold, Us Express, Sub Zero, If any of you know of a company thats hirring driver and decent i am all ears i just need a job asap. I would like have like to been at farmington term but do to insurance going up on the equipment i had to drp truck in chesterton yard, so i am stranded with way to much stuff for greyhound not old enough to rent a car, my only other option is a uhaul you can be 18 to rent one.
