Denise Harvey gets 30 years for having sex with teen

What with older women and having sex with teenagers these days. did this all start with Mary Kay laterno or what ever her name is?? Dont they understand thats prison time for that? Sucks to be Denise Harvey.

30 years is life and rapist and murders do not get that most of the time... I am not justifying her actions but seems to be a little harsh if the boy was consensual... He new what he was doing at 16....

 

There was a time when this kind of thing brought so much shame within the community that they kept it quiet. The recourse of just trying to live life there was punishment. The sadist truth is the lack of vision towards "just punishment". Two [2] people starve a 4 yr old boy to death in a semi sleeper and get 23 years in jail. She had sex with a 16 yr old and got 30. I don't approve of what she did, but the 16 yr old got a story he'll tell his friends and smile. The 4 yr old got shipped home to his grandmother in a box. Neither got "justice"!

 

I am not excusing what she did but a 30 year sentence is way to excessive. Some murders don't even get that long of a sentence.

 

My local High School caught the band teacher in a trist with a student a few years ago. They got rid of him and hired a young lady to replace him as teacher. She now has been ousted for sex with studnts. The local joke is that they must be teaching rap music at that school.

 

Ugly teacher = big prison sentence.

I know 2 guys in their 40's who are married to women 10 years older than them, both women were these guys teachers, and both sets were seeing the teachers in high school.

Actually the man probably would of received less time then 30 years.. They simply was trying to make an example out of this lady.. Courts should not make "examples" out of people, they should also follow guidelines..

To answer your question.. I personally think it is wrong for a 40 year old man to sleep with a 16 year old girl.. If the fact was he did not rape her and it was consensual sex between the two then no I don't think 30 years is warranted..
