How did you get such an easy Friday I was out for like 13 hours, I had more then 8 stops though and almost 700 cases, plus I have a Friday stop that's a trouble maker and can't seem to remember they have to pay on delivery. Actually next week I'm expecting them to get cut off, because of the way they choose to go about there business. At any rate will see what happens, but I called the salesman and told him this account is starting to really become a problem and I also talked to our credit department and I said to our credit department there crusin to get cut off aren't they? Credit said yes they are.
I told the chef at the account I said you guys are going to get cut off if this keeps up.
He said no they won't because they spend a lot of money with us. Which isn't true at all, racking up a lot of debt is not the same things as spending money. Your no good to us if all you can do is rack up debt. -
Most of the time that is signaling the end of the restaurant when they start doing stuff like that. Seen them going from charge to c.o.d. by check to cash in feel bad for people because most of the time it's a mom and pop place trying to make a living just like we are but they have to pay there bill.Mike2633 Thanks this.

Pretty new to this forum and have been lurking around since I got my CDL 5 years ago. I am another Gordon Food Service driver, it's great to know I am not the only one who digs around a trailer from time to time lol
-
Speaking of digging there's been plenty of that going on recently. I had a freezer cube of 345 today and it was all frozen foods that schools order chicken, pizza's, heavy juice you know how it goes.
Anyhow now there are three of us on here My self, @southern_idiot499 and now you. I'm 28' sales service and Southern is a fancy chain alliance driver down south, are you a sales service man, chain driver, or volume truck driver?LOUMO Thanks this. -
Well let's see, my GFS journey actually started out in KC. That drop yard is referred to as the country club. I was chain driver out there but we only had 28' trailers and ran sales service hours. We also only worked 4 days a week no over night runs all day trips. Then I transferred down to the plant city FL DC and now I am a sales service driver. We have 28' and 36' trailers down in Florida. My school route today was 1078 cases 7 stops 200 miles.
You work out of OVD? -
No I'm a drop lot driver in C-Town were Allegheny Valley Division loaded out of Imperial,PA warehouse, I actually a couple of weeks ago met one of your ATM's when I was out in Aberdeen,MD.
I run support for other divisions when it's needed and I also run support out of the warehouse if they ask. Couple weeks ago I was at the warehouse for a week running 50ft trailers between Pittsburgh and Cleveland-Akron area.
I do a lot of schools today I didn't throw up the numbers you did ha-ha although last week I almost did, I had 906 cases last week, but not 200 miles 50 miles and 14 stops. Our routes in Cleveland are very concentrated as you can imagine. Today I had 763 although my truck looked and felt like 900 LOL! 345 cube out the side door all day! My freezer was almost half the trailer LOL! Heavy stuff those frozen pizza's that the kids eat tend to weigh a lot LOL!
