Howdy Prime drivers. I'm looking at buying a 2014 Cascadia & I was wondering if some of you would answer a few questions.
Does Prime take good care of the trucks as far as maintenance is concerned?
How good do the trucks pull?
For the flatbedders with a condo sleeper, what kind of MPGs are you getting?
Thanks for your time & help.

The trucks are governed. That's how they pull.
Each driver gets differing mpg based on a range of things. So you'll get many different answers, from 6-10mpg.RStewart Thanks this. -
You can pretty much look at any of the for sale trucks maintence agreements if you ask.
Trucks are goverened are and geared appropriately, mainly for flat land/Midwest, not really geared for the mountains, but will pull them.
Most of the trucks are running Super Singles.
Personally I would not have a problem buying one of their trucks, as long as I can look at the maintence records.redoctober83, darthanubis and RStewart Thank this. -
Thanks for the responses guys. I didn't know I could ask to see the maintenance reports. Good to know.

I think the lifetime average on this truck is 7.9 on 270k. Company truck so I usually run around 60+-. I think it's a bit low.

Have had 2015 Cascadia since new.
Currently 8.5mpg on paper at 355,000mi. Been running mostly 60-65mph last few months. Lot of 65.
Was running 9.0mpg on paper for about a year at mostly 57-60mph.
I always keep track manually. The Qualcomm units & truck displays are never accurate.Last edited: Sep 14, 2016

That's cool. I'm more concerned with the reliability of the trucks as far as emissions issues & how good the maintenance program is.
