Here's a vid of me crossing the Chesapeake bridge-tunnel. You guys ever been across it?

 

Kootenai Falls between Libby and Troy Montana on Hwy 2

These are on Hwy 200 between the Montana state line and Clark Fork, ID

 

Getting ready to be assisted up to the top of the mountain. Between Ontario and Baker City, OR. Looking at the road before I snapped this picture, I'd guess it was probably near a 10-15% grade with a pretty good base like you see here at the staging area.

Northeastern Washington Today

 

US-2 From Everett, WA to Spokane, WA is an amazing drive. Don't recommend it if you're heavy or pressed for time. Pick a pretty weekday weather day when the sun is out (at least over central and eastern Washington) and enjoy the drive. You can expect plenty of tourists during peak seasons. Takes about 1:45 and 50 miles longer (figuring Seattle departure or arrival)

Probably one of the top 5 most scenic drives in the USA. It covers the entire gamut of scenery in less then 200 miles. Leavenworth is a beautiful and quaint little "Bavarian Village" town along the way, and if you could find a place park and walk around town, it would probably be well worthwhile.

I would love to be able to tour that region in a car over several days.

 

Covered that and the others you posted many times being as I am blessed to live here in WA. Thanks for posting!

 

I sure would like to drive through there just once. Might happen, one day.

 

Off of US-395 in California, N of Bishop yesterday (Sep 13) ... Get ready, fall snows in the US will be here soon enough.

Next time I run that road, I have a feeling it will be pretty in a whole other way, but not a pleasant drive like yesterday's. Glad I got this run/route before winter sets in.
