blood clots...

I have a had a the same issue years ago after I had surgery I developed one in my left leg. I was put on Heparin and a blood thinner. I did that for a couple years. I got off the meds based on my doctor saying you don't need them. Fast forward to two years ago. I get up in the am all is good I am going to work about 11 am ride my motorcycle. I get to work and walk up a incline I walk up everyday. It took everything I had I couldn't breath. I walked around work for a couple hours and couldn't catch my breath. I went to the doctor after a couple test and xrays found I had bi lateral pulmonary embolisms (blood clots in the lungs)... Thankfully they were small. I now take Xerelto daily. Point of my long post to the OP If you have one of these I would continue to take some type of blood thinner the rest of your life. Not just asprin... Stay safe out there

 

Will taking Xerelto make you have to get a physical every year or will they give you a two year card?

 

Who cares, this is something that needs to be monitored and the dot may help do that.

 

I was just curious. Didn't know if there was some list of medications that automatically would get one a one year card.

 

You don't have to be monitored on this med However according to The Dot its a 1 year card.
