Speaking about how good it was back in the 80s, I was watching Smoky and the Bandit last week and I believe the trucker there was in violation of the Hours of Service regs.

    I love that movie!

I believe he was also in ridiculous violation of the weight limits. Did you ever pay attention to the way they load the trailer? Not to mention all the other violations but we won't worry about those. Lol still one of my favorite movies.

You WILL have questions during training and your obvious first source will be your trainer but there are MANY folks here on TTR that are so very willing to share from their experiences too.

Make TTR a source of information.
It's helped me A LOT over the last year.

We watch all of the Trucker Who youtube videos, as he drives for Millis. Although there seems to be nothing wrong with the company, I sure wish Trucker Who ran more left to right, than of top to bottom... Equipment looks good, and Millis seem to be a great company to pull for. Best of luck on tour journey!

As long as they are not bad in the legal sense, then stick with it. It is really hard to get enough experience when you are starting a trucking career.
I did LTL, then groceries delivering to stores and humping by hand into restaurants up to 100 lbs bags of sugar and rice.
But once I had two years experience a whole new world was opened up to me.

That seems to be the opposite of the states. Most local companies (my area anyway) require OTR or some sort of experience.

Best of luck to the OP.
