    Looking good!

Finally after a long spell of no rain, I had to dig my rain suit out to unload tonight. Very dry up here right now, worst drought I can remember for a long time. Kinda hurts the workload for the night, as most of our trucks are sitting tonight/today, but we'll gladly take it.

I hear that. We don't get much rain out here but winter will be here before I know it and I'll see what it brings. No rain or snow here so it should remain consistent I'm guessing.

Tonight I find myself at the one customer of ours that I hate going to. Their redo-mix plant sits right next to a college campus (that's the only good thing), in the middle of town, and is very visible. Their silos are garbage, bathhouses have leaked and blown dust for years. Tonight I have a load of slag in here and the wind happens to be blowing all the dust over top of the campus. Tried to get a small video, but the camera on my phone doesn't work well in the dark. It would be awesome if the green police showed up right now and closed this place forever.

Yea I know what you mean. Did you get autocorrected from baghouse to bathhouse? Haha. I'm dealing with some very leaky dome lids and with a similar issue your having on a silo this evening.

And that slag... Yum. Sticky and will get all over the truck.

    Stupid auto-correct!!!!

Yeah I'm not crazy about doing slag loads, but they pay really well. My trailer should be a 1200 cubic foot so it fits in without a mess. Usually it gets up around 77000 lbs and starts dusting pretty bad

All the neighbors to the batch plants around dfw raise such a fuss about noise and dust it's unbelievable. Can't go to some places b4 7a.m. shut down if a dome lid or hose connection even thinks about leaking.
Nobody told them to buy a house next to a plant that's been there 50 years smh.

Yea that's similar to where I load. Neighborhood is built up all around the plant that's been there forever. Hundreds of trucks drive through a residential block a day. It's literally in an area with kids playing in the front yard. It's pretty strict on a 25 mph zone with speed cameras everywhere going up the hill to Lehigh. Oh well, just be courteous for the kids sake I say.
