Yah it was probably the case. The officer did ask him if he consulted with the property manager before making this decision, and he said no. He then made a claim that I don't shop here and i said that Walmart is not the one that dictates what goes around here. There are 15 other businesses that has their say, and these managers know me personally.
Tow truck driver even said he would of unhooked my tractor because its impossible to get it out of there and i would be responsible for any damages. I said to him "Look, if i owned a gun store and Joe bought a gun legally and goes off to murder somebody, how in the world am i responsible? Explain that to the judge". I looked at the officer and he nodded.
This is private property, you can't park there

Please post your home address..so we can all park our trucks in your yard...shouldn't be a problem for you...since not a no - parking sign at your home...just using the same reasoning you do at the mall
ramblingman, pattyj, HalpinUout and 1 other person Thank this. -
I don't care what part of the country you're from, the vast majority of people don't know the laws they claim to know.
A business that is open to the general public is obligated to allow fair access to all. So on the one hand the OP wins the short term battle.
However, once it has been established that you are no longer welcome, for a variety of legal reasons, you are now obliged to leave.
Sounds like the OP won on a technicality, but this won't last. Maybe they just don't want the OP's truck there and they could easily get a restraining order against him and never put up a single sign.
I probably would have asked for permission to wait until my 10 hours was up and then move. I only ever had one place refuse to let me finish a break AND THAT WAS AT A CUSTOMER after I had already been there for 8 hours making a delivery. -

Gentlemen,
This is amazing,. We are a brotherhood in trucking. Parking is a luxury through out the United States. Google Jason's Law just to get your feet wet.
If you have been parking in your "home time" parking location for 4yrs. Then keep parking there. If new security company is making waves. Do some home work find the property owner. Contact them get a letter stating.
As long as you don't litter and destroy his parking lot (crush curbs, trees or asphalt damage). Request an approval letter to park while your at home.
And to the rest of you arm chair lawyers and off duty police. Learn more about trucking and the more important issues like
CARB. Or. The 65mph speedimiter law
Don't hassle a driver for parking. Holy cow, what happen to the brotherhood.
Don't complain about what you cannot change.
Florida Playboy, Ooops, ncstang and 3 others Thank this. -

I'm not going to try to tangle myself in the Legality/Illegality of your parking procedures. But I will tell you that refusing to leave is a jerk move that makes all drivers look bad. All you're going to do is make the guy get no parking signage and have a lingering distaste for drivers. If you can't find somewhere to park, pay for a spot. I'd personally be afraid to park there again, conveniently your truck will end up vandalized or something. By the way, if this does end up getting some sort of legal attention posting it on a forum is generally regarded as a poor idea, I do know that.
