so I got approved for system transport they want me to sign up for an orentation date but I am hesitant...
I've been on a combo of sleep meds for about seven years tried and true all they do is make me sleep I have Drs note NO RESTRICTIONS AND A STANDARD 2 YEAR MEDICAL I told my recruiter all of this and she said that as long as everything is up to dot standards that we should be fine I asked her if I should send over my long form and she said no. On one hand I really don't want to go and get sent home because of this of the other hand she said we should be good and I don't want to make a big deal out something that shouldn't be.
One is gabapentin the other is lorazepam...Drs note says doesn't affect abaility to safely operate a cmv.
I've tried pretty much everything this combo seems to be the only way I can sleep unfortunately.
What would you do? Call and insist they look at my docs and long form or pick a date and go?
Med question...

I take that and a few other things and haven't had any problems. I use it in combination with other meds for sleep due to PTSD. I never mentioned it have had several tests including randoms.
McKenna Thanks this. -
So I should just go then it is on my medical long form...

Mine was but since mine is a disability I didn't on the company one just my CDL school one.

If the recruiter said it's fine just go to orientation and take your long form with you just in case. I don't see a problem here.

Ya she said make sure to bring it so I shouldn't worry about it then...I tend to worry about some stuff that turns out to be no biggie just needed some other opinions

I think you should not worry so much. And never talk about your medical history with anyone other then your doctor. They cleared you all anyone else can do is s crew it up.
McKenna and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this. -
Don't sabatoge your new job by volunteering too much information. In fact, don't volunteer anything; just answer any questions and don't elaborate on anything. Some people talk themselves right out of good jobs by talking too much.
