I'm apparently in the hands of humans again. Too many complaints recently and I got the grease. Been burning every hour for the last week and a half (including my student who is now solo.)
Went from PA to CA with 4hrs to spare running 22hrs a day. Then that got rescheduled to today, so I did three Walmart loads to Riverside yesterday. Pulled them all out of JV, delivered the first reefer, went back and grabbed another, them went back and grabbed another. Shortly after the first was done so I drug it back. Grabbed the other two. Had 210 cases of overage on the 2nd trl. Never even heard of someone doing three loads at once though it was fun. Will be curious if I get screwed come payday.

So I got my go home load today, right at the end of my 8hr pause. First dryvan I've touched in over two years. So weird, flimsy doors, watching the walls just kind of flop in the wind. It's like pulling a trailer made of paper. Picked up in Otay, delivering at 7am in Vegas and heading home. Shut down in Otay so I could run up during night and hopefully at full speed.

As for the job prospects, well, not sure what's happening. Gave info and license med card, was told I'd do a drug test like a week ago, nothing sense then. If I can't get a time frame from them tomorrow, they can pound sand.

And if they pound sand, there's a slot open in the North Vegas night shuttle. If that's no good I'm going to transfer to skateboard. Gotta freshen things up a bit.

I'm near Las Vegas now, in Primm at the J.
This is the first time I've seen the solar plant not working. It was dark. It was also cloudy today.

It will be an early start tomorrow morning to make my 1000 delivery near L.A., but I felt like gambling a bit.
That was a waste of time and a little money. Barely any play at all, so I didn't try to get it back.

FW, I'm curious how that check will be as well. But it could be very good with all those short loads.
Let us know please. It is always nice to hear how that kind of thing works out.

I was lucky this morning with my delivery; I got there 20 minutes early.
The unloader was just about to go to lunch and he gave me a door to wait at.
Shortly after that a couple more trucks came in at just around my appointment time of 1000. They had to wait.
I got there at 0940 and he had me unloaded by 1045. He seemed surprised when I thanked him for the very quick unload.
The real lucky part is that this place has very little room to move around, and I got there at just the right time to get just the right dock.

Then I headed to the JV terminal for a b service, only to be told that it was too soon. I thought it would be OK because I have been getting messages that I need one, but i was told that it won't really be needed for at least another 2,000 miles or so. So I headed for the TA and reset my PTA for tomorrow morning.

My home time is set for the 26th in MN so I should be expecting loads getting me there... hopefully.

Had I not passed out and ran all night I would have endeavored to arrange an quick encounter.Might have been 5 minutes, but whatever. Wouldn't have been impossible seeing as I knew what I was looking for. Dont know if i mentioned but my company T680 is blue, and has a distinguishing feature left over from the last driver, a HUT permit dead center on the grill (I hate it there but no moving it till I get the next years if I ever do.)

As for the check, it depends on if the treat it as a multiple stops or independent loads. I got it as independent loads, but due to the way I did them it was all QC messages and phone calls to verify sense the system dosent accommodate simultaneous loads. Ill let you know the final outcome when they cut the check.

Had them say the same thing about a Bit once. I always run my B services into maintenance hold unfortunately, no matter how far in advance I tell my DM. Wouldn't have been a bad time to get one there, the other day there were not many trucks waiting.

I would think they will have you running that way soon.

My Vegas load turned out to be the most stereotypical possible, slot machine chassis. They had to bring in another forklift, but it still only took an hour.

Anyway, I am back in paradise, droped a new battery in the Ninja and went to the Go kart track at Las Vegas motor speedway, took a few laps to get my knee back down after months without track time, but I managed too finally drop it.

NY lost the lawsuit; the NY HUT permit and sticker are no longer required so peel it off.

It was my understanding that shortly after OOIDA went after them, they turned around and lowered the fee from 19$ to 1.50$. And just kept the bloody thing in place. Definitely could be wrong here, but that was the last I had heard of it.
