LOL!! First you tell me to eat vegan to save money then you admit it's not cheap. Then you say Atkin's is a fad diet and recommend some obscure once a day eating plan. As a person who struggled with his weight my life I finally found something that works. To each his own.

I've been out of work since may, Haven't had any money to buy anything. I take what is handed to me. I'm not recommending an "obscure once a day eating plan". It was simply a statement. If it works for you, that's great I'm proud of you. Everything that's said is simply knowledge that is shared. If you didn't want to read it you didn't need to.
-
Fair enough. Have you tried going to a temp agency to earn some cash?
-
Sound's great, I know a manager that gave me work all the time. There's just one problem. The job they would offer me is too far from me. All jobs near me are taken (yes, it's been looked into) Just sold my car and gave my license plate to the DMV, Without transportation, one cannot go to work.
Someone might say "Oh, you have 2 legs right? or you could take the bus"
Bus ride for an hour is ridiculous
Walking for 3 is irrational .
In the city there are way too many people that can take up that job. Being an adult that's worked at many jobs. After a while you don't want to work for 8$ an hour for 15 hours a week at burger king. when you've had jobs that pay 12$/h not dealing with as much (People yelling at you for the burger not having any pickles!) -
I know it sucks but you'll need some money if you want to get into trucking. How will you eat or buy a cup of coffee in training or on the road? Then what if you'll need a car to get to/from the truck?
-
It seems as if I'm screwed than. There's nothing i can currently do anything about a vehicle. There are other modes of transportation. If there is a will, there is a way. In the end, Everything will work out. That's my belief anyway.
There are some funds available. Just not 1,000$. CR england said 10 days non paid training for cdl than jump in a truck with a trainer. That's when you start earning my recruiter told me. -
You can probably expect that 10 days to stretch into 14+.
And make sure you carry some cash with you. A hundred bucks isn't going to cut it in Salt Lake City.
I'm a fan of CRE's school. It is a quick and relatively easy way to get your CDL. -
Oh and if you go to CR England be sure you don't make a video of yourself doing stupid #### behind the wheel and upload it YouTube.
UsualSuspect and Rusty Trawler Thank this. -
That's common sense. Who makes videos of themselves doing stupid activities behind the wheel anyway? that's a great way to get fired.
-
There is a recent thread on here where a CRE driver did just that and was whining because he got canned.
