Hey folks, I have 4 CB's to choose from. The use is going to be for trail and some city, mostly trail though. My options are:
Cobra 19dx IV
Uniden pro 520XL
Cobra 75wx st
Uniden Bearcat 880
Features I do like are scan and the weather channel, but I also like the size of the first two which technically leaves me with the 75wx as the middle ground. So with an external speaker installed with that I should be happy.... I guess I'm looking at some feedback on the thought process.
Thanks in advance

How did you narrow it down to these four radios? If it were me I would choose the 880, multiple colors, digital faceplate, talkback, scan, weather channels, noise canceling stock mic or if you want a smaller radio look at the Bearcat 680.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

The 680 and 880 are surface mount technology boards so they are really light weight and not as deep ( long ) as larger radios ( ie. Cobra 29 ) so mounting options are greater.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

Between the first 3, I would take the Uniden 520XL hands down...The 4th radio, the Uniden 880 however would be the best-bet, being a full size, full fetcher radio. Down-side would be possibly it's size is a little bigger and may not fit your needs...you didn't say what this was going in...
First 3 radios don't have as good channel rejection either as the 880 will have, meaning other operators close to you on a different channel will tend to bleed over on the channel your on a little easier...
The first two, I have, and the 520 blows the Cobra 19 clear out of the water. The down side to the Cobra 75 is your stuck with the factory Mic, and if anything happens to it (like you drop it) the radio is done...
Another option I've herd nothing but good out of, is a New radio now being sold in the State's is the Anytone Smart CB. It's a 10 Meter radio that is easily converted for 11 Meter, and costs about the same as the Uniden 520 and Cobra 19's...very good reviews.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
I have a Uniden 680, and the Uniden 520xl...Between those two, the 520 IMO is a better radio...However, if your planning on doing a in-dash mount, the 680 will fit in more tight spaces since it measures 6 1/4"W, 6 1/4"D, 2 1/4"H...the 520xl is 4.5"W, 6 3/4"D, 1 3/8" H
Anytone Smart CB is 4.1"W, 4.3"D, 1" H...ruffly the size of a deck of playing cards!rabbiporkchop and bored silly Thank this. -
Forgot to mention the 880 has a built in swr meter to tune your antenna, and the 880 I own, believe it or not the meter is pretty accurate which is a rarity.bored silly and jessejamesdallas Thank this.

Just checked out the anytone smart cb on amazon, selling price is like $60.00. Looks like a neat little radio specs said 8 watts so good carrier comparable to other 10 meter radios, Im going to order one and try it in my mobile, thanks jessejamesdallas for the tip and its not even my thread.rabbiporkchop and jessejamesdallas Thank this.

Sorry I didn't mention that I actually own all 4 just need one for my jeep and like the scan option as well as the weather one. The size is great on the 520 though, I heard the 520 is a really good cb but the 880 has more features, i guess it boils down to what will fit.
You guys are great thanks for the comments!!! -
Just wanted to point out something, it isn't a 10 meter radio, it is a CB. Just get a CB because the advantage of a 10 meter radio is lost thought the lack of good engineering practices,
