That's why Andrews has lost a lot of customers. Dale knows a lot of people at every plant in SE TX.

Yep, lots of changes at the company lately and not for the better, as many of the other drivers I knew here have moved on. He11, I even considered walking a few ago myself but, things picked back up slowly but surely and I'm quite content.

Can't blame anyone for moving on, especially since everyone has to choose their own path for what works for their individual needs. But, the company is still working for me otherwise, I wouldn't be here after three years. A large factor of that is because I run directly for central dispatch, and not under any of the regional/terminal dispatches. If I went through the same BS lots of y'all are talking about, I would've went elsewhere too, and fast. Y'all bash away at the company if ya want, I'd be doing the same!

Hopefully everyone is well and happy where they're at. I'm obviously still around, but could care less about running blogs anymore, have more important stuff going on that one, is a heckuva lot more interesting and fun than work. And two, on the flip side, have had a couple of things happen over the last year concerning brothers I served with in the military that remind you about how short life can truly be.

    Y'all be safe.

You are right about both. However, Venezia's take on the HHG miles are very close to actual miles. Very rarely does it ever go to a 10% difference against me.

As for the camera, most of them are not live. They are forward and driver facing. Unlike other companies like Sysco & Perdue, Venezia only uses the videos when there is a significant reason to pull them; I.E.: accidents, numerous call ins, etc... My camera is not live and the only way safety can see the video is by calling me in, unlocking the camera, pulling the SD card, then reviewing the contents. Their newer trucks do have DriveCam which is a live system but the same safety people are reviewing the videos and no one is complaining, unlike the Perdue & Sysco drivers are. I'm making good money and left alone to do it. Basics are the same here, do your job well and get paid. Nothing else to it. Venezia truly is a trucking company run by truckers.

Heniff lease perch is a very expensive game. My buddy is buying a 2012 Pete they are charging him over 90,000 for it... I think it's fair game. I met the old man Bob Heniff he's pretty cool...

Yeah they underbid a lot of Companies to secure work. They offset this with Lease Perch Chase .. Why not if the perch will lose anyway... I grin at them too when I see them... I only lasted a year and realized they can't do anything for me... Tim Ruth is a great guy down in Pasadena..

Most tanker companies up here pay hourly for local
I' m local out of Alsip, Il. So not sure about Tx. But regional drivers are paid percentage and any local work is on the clock, ot is paid after 8.
If you have a choice go local, I love it here, I do a 6 state area all on the clock and ot after 8. Can't help with tx. I like it here laid back no micro managing.
