So put in plenty of plenty hires and some apps some tms and recruiters called me back to set up conditional job offers and training after I'm done with schooling. Some companies (basically all the ones I really like) won't take my app until I'm completely done with schooling endorsements and twic etc. If I accept one of the sorrier job offers then one of the better gigs call me and offer me a job say a 3-4 weeks into my training and I accept and leave the current company how would that be looked at?
Switching companies during training?

oooo... tsk tsk tsk... baaaad. Driver. Baaaad.
If they want you during your break in, er training tell em to remember you a year from now.
If you are a good boy, that phone will ring with job offers before too many years. My last company persisted in calling me back to service for 4 years into my disability. I finally told them Im done for the count.
As a practical matter be sure your school is paid for before you run away from the hand that fed and trained you. -
Well school is paid for by me (a tech school only have to pay $200) and bills won't get paid sitting at home for a extra month waiting for that phone callx1Heavy Thanks this.

It won't look good but to be honest one or two driving jobs that first year is not something that will limit you. Just don't keep doing it!
-
Geez
@Chinatown
For good companies that will give a good pre hire -
You're just going to make your life harder switching companies so early. Doing the job that first year is hard enough. The simpler your application and work history are the easier to be hired over the phone. Don't make your life harder
-
What companies gave you an offer and who do you want to drive for?
-
I would advise students pick their first employer before they pick their driving school. It's different from other jobs. Some companies are strict about how they can hire new CDL holders. They can hire you if you come from their CDL school, or a particular CDL school. If youwant to hire on, you go their route.
You can put yourself in a no-mans-land of having a CDL but no experience if you screw around enough. You wouldn't pick a wife based on who is available right this minute. You are going to have your life controlled by your first company, a least for that first year. Don't make rash decisions. But I have a feeling as soon as someone you never met tells you you can do what you want to do you'll do that and then blame the company when your decisions hurt you. Maybe I'm wrong. It's your life.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Some companies only hire from certain schools. I do not mean a company school either just tech and private schools.
