I'm gonna have to see if I can swing up that way one of these days. I like where you go with the high Q... I think I wanna focus more on that (with a lot of help of course, being as I'm still new to this ), because I'm more interested in mobile to mobile application than SSB or skipping. Thinking about taking my factory DX959b up to DTB in Carlisle, PA to optimize it, I'm aiming for a decent barefoot setup if I can.

Send it to hard drive over at fine tune..messahe him on fb under the name of mark sherman..His work will compare or beat most out there with amps and you being barefoot

 

I was hoping not to have to send it out but it looks like that is gonna be my best option... Do you happen to know what his prices are like or is that something I'll have to get direct from him?

 

Best to direct to him..So far i find him reasonable prices for my work and very smart man with this stuff..Look up fine tune cb on fb and you tube..
His(ill just make up a #) 50 watts will be the same as a radio with a 100 watts..Its tuned perfectly and clear..Almost fm broadcast sound quality..

Lol! It cost me some coin, but I'll never be had again for cb wares. Keep your money in your pocket. Run a cobra 29, with cophased antenna and call it a day. The rest is snake oil.
