Congratulations, man. Do they still give you a hat for the instructors to sign?
Charlie Mac Thanks this. -

Congrats, man! Told ya!!!!
Charlie Mac Thanks this. -
But the hat seems so... high schoolish.
When you get on the road don't forget why you failed the last time.
You had a moment of panic and rushed in a tight situation.
Han Solo said it best...
Don't get ####y, kid.
Never be so confident that you are not afraid.
That is when we make the most mistakes.
Drivers with 4 or 5 years of experience get in more accidents than drivers with 1 or 2 years of experience because they get complacent.Charlie Mac Thanks this. -

I had it easy when I went through school. I worked for a company that had a private fleet, so when they wanted me to become a driver they paid the tuition. I lived close enough that I was able to go home every night instead of the hotel, and I got paid my regular wage while training. I'd stop by work and clock in on my way up, then clock back out on the way home. I kept that last bit under my hat.

Did they give extra time if needed for learning backups?

Backing up was the easiest part shifting was the hardest part
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
