Very kind indeed... I have watched many people get up and leave after a meal and not leave a tip, and yes the waitress did a far job... I also have seen friends of mine not leave a tip.. To be honest about it I never really looked at them the same cause of it.. Most of these ladies are only getting something like $2.43 to $2.13 an hour... they basically work for tips..
you should at least leave 15% but i guess they say 20% now.. I heard the reason they say 20% is becuase most people can't figure 15% with the poor math skills we have here..
Anyways, tip you waitress.. they deserve it if they did the job decent....Last edited: Sep 3, 2008

Whats worse is I know a couple of people that we all watch leave
Because they will take the tip if we leave before them

Wow, I didn't know they were making more than Truck Drivers......LOL..LOL..LOL

I never have seen anybody do that but have heard of people doing it.. Takes a real winner to stoop that low to take a waitresses tip.

I occasionally helped a friend count her tips and place coins in sleeves. She was a waitress at the Union 76, LaSalle-Peru, IL, in the 1970s. When drunks came in for breakfast after the bars closed, she received bigger tips than the truckers ever gave. Perhaps, a drunk cannot see the difference between a $1 and a $10. However, truckers often appreciated a free re-full on a glass of milk. I should point out that she was attractive and could joke with the customers. Bottom line: On a good night, she earned more than I did as an owner-operator.

Sure is not that way anymore... Bach then people had a little more access cash to spend.. I know several waitresses at a variety of locations and they usually make $100 a day. On a good day a few can make around $200 but that is usually on Friday or Saturday night..
