It's awesome that this has turned into a millennial bashing thread and I think the reason is that you all can relate to the OP at times.
The difference is the OP is young enough to quit and take another path in life, and you're all too old and stubborn to learn something new.
I'm tired of people hating on my generation. We expect things to be handed to us, we're lazy, we want trophies...
That's why it was our generation that decided social security was a good decision despite the sustainability problems, our generation that took massive loans out on houses that we had no business taking causing a credit bubble and essential disabling the financial backbone of real estate, and it was our generation at the forefront of our national debt.
But it wasn't was it?
And we're the "entitled, privileged, lazy" ones for thinking everything should be handed to us with no consequences.
We're the ones that get to deal with YOUR generation's consequences.Ooops, Longarm, AModelCat and 1 other person Thank this. -
You have to respect yourself first and the job you do. After that, who gives a #### what others think?
If someone's life revolves around what others think, they will never be happy. Gotta get that new car or bigger house. Who cares? I have met people that were poorer than dirt, living in a shack with a beautiful happy family.
They never gave a hoot what others thought.Oxbow, diesel drinker, Dye Guardian and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yes unfortunately, it's true the older generation has screwed the heck out of the younger generation....
Just ask an old timer what he paid for his house and what he sold that same house for 10 yrs later -
Maybe for you, but I could live like a king on that.diesel drinker, tucker and rabbiporkchop Thank this.

I have too much invested time here now to jump ship, regardless of earning potential, especially now that I have a good run. The cons would outweigh the pros, IMO.street beater Thanks this.
