Nothing, dont even bother about these kinds of loads. Go to Midwest and stay there, go a bit south, a bit west, come back, book $2.7 per mile going to NE and $1-1.50 going back. Realistically you can gross $4500-5500 in today's market, you gotta keep at least $3500 after fuel per week. The hardest part is to learn markets, figure out the constantly changing hot places.
Just dont book lads from one dead area to another, you will go broke doing that

    BoostedTeg and zlonz3 Thank this.

Do you own the truck are you responsible for everything?... Are you hurting financially?... $2.10 Should be the lowest... I am trying to wrap my head around why you are even bringing this up. You should know what it takes for you to run a load and be profitable.

If you ever do get a good paying load from they don't give them your cellphone number. They'll be checking in on you, like everyday is your first day trucking...

    zlonz3 Thanks this.

Yes I own the truck outright and I am responsible for everything; and I know my BEP and what it takes to be profitable. I am not hurting financially... but what should I say when a broker ( C.H.Robinson) offers me $1700 for a 1199 mi load MA to FL ?

If you know what it takes to be profitable why are you asking such a dumb question. That like a dollar a mile before factoring in your time ,wear and tear insurance etc... What will you do when you have a unexpected expense 7000$ transmission $20000 motor repair when you have to ask online if it's ok to drive 1200 miles loaded heavy for peanuts ???
