Look at the roof. Looks to me like the driver can-openered the trailer on an overhead obstruction. The roof of most dry vans is an integral part of the structure. If even a small part of it is damaged, or fails, the trailer can fold up like you see here.
I hold the record...

Reminds me of my moving days
Me: lady, there is no way that baby grand piano is coming down
Lady: I don't understand, my two nephews got it up there
Me: was it a tiny spiral staircase then?
Lady: what's that got to do with it?Last edited: Sep 28, 2016
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
I used to have to pick up big cardboard totes of resin in Georgia
24 was a perfect fit to the backdoor
So they'd do it
43g
I would tell them week after week they can't do that cuz i have to cross Tennessee
They just didn't understand and would make me go scale and come back and show them the scale ticket
I guess they were never on a seesaw with a fat friend.
After a month of that nonsense I refused to go to there. -
That's why I asked about your trailer width. I'd have thought that extra 3 inches on one side would make a bit of difference with having the load drop off that much further away.
Apparently not.., -
That story makes this come to mind...

Lepton1 and Rusty Trawler Thank this. -
Lol
But much louder
Pretty sure the neighborhood thought it was an earthquake -
I dont deny that 80000 is legal limit. But i still say its not heavy. Not even close. Its normal weight. Everything less is lite.
-
It is if you drive an underpowered truck.
Lepton1 and Rusty Trawler Thank this. -
Yeah just sitting here smiling thinking "wow these drivers wouldn't leave the parking lot if they had one of the slightly over weight loads I've hauled"
-
Just twice today.
