    They didn't make me chain up the lift axle on the truck that I drove through there several times. Then again they also didn't ask about permits when the wheelbase on the truck was over 320 inches.

    Lift axles are used in Ontario and Quebec. Ontario allows two lifts and Quebec only likes to see one trailers with lifts have to be tridems with 60 or 72 inch spreads with lift axle at 101 inches in front of tridems . Wheelbase laws were lengthened since use of def since frames had no extra room. Before permits your allowed 75 feet total length in Ontario 5 axle and rtac b trains give you 63500 and in Quebec the rtac is only trailer that gives you 63500kg

    lift axles on trucks can be used with a spread lift for dump trucks or a float tractor
