    The 386 Pete you need a lot room to spin around. The narrow cab makes it a challenge when backing. The Freightliner Casscadia currently has a better turning radius compared to the 579 Pete. I just switched out from a '12 Freightliner to a new 17' Pete. The cab widths are almost the same. Pete is still a bit smaller on this part. Also with the longer cab extenders, setting the fifth wheel about center of the axles makes for challenging turns as well. All in all, the compare almost alike. The Petes also are geared slowly lower so you are running at 1400 Roms vs 1490 on the older equipment.

    On my program we have one 2010 Freightliner and one 2017 Peterbuilt. So, we switch back and forth every week.

    Hopefully we'll get enough miles on that Freightliner to get it traded in soon.

    you must have gotten one of our trucks from apple Valley, there replacing all the otr trucks ,
    the old trucks apu s , dont meet the new emissions law
