if your going to run that beast marks going to build for you look at the power cable Walcott sells it has Anderson quick disconnects which I run on all my radios and it's 4 gauge welding cable. it has a inline fuse on it. I run it straight down to the batteries.the battery it runs off is grounded too with the good ole 4gauge wire from wally mart. the 0/1 I run my amp off is grounded also 4 gauge wire again wally mart..

Thats a lil ways off yet so i got time to work stuff out with the 60 or so wattts in my 955...Mark suggested 6ga on that radio..The project one will get lower ga wire as you mentioned..

you can't run a 8pill in a crapcadia or really any truck correctly without doing the things I've done. you can use 4 gauge welding cable on the amp with the smaller Anderson connectors but you need to run that cable as short as possible from the batteries into the amp. all the big amp builders will tell you that....time to take my ole ### back to bed. running from or. to n.y. nobody goes to n.y. on purpose I don't .....

On a cascadia your running from just under drivers seat to firewall into truck and up the left side just in front of the door to where ever the radio is from there is about 15 ft..Hard to find a good antenna mount site and just as bad mounting a physically bigger radio..Unless make can do wonders with that new 447hpc2 radio..lol

Saw that 4ga kit from wallcott..Jeeperzzz its only $170..Plus its a different plug unless mark changes that to..

well with the Anderson quick disconnects I can change out any of the 3 radio's I have in minutes... I have a new Stryker 497 up in the shelf in the bunk.... I'll have the big boy 955 next week.... think I've got enough radios....I'm not interested in many radios nowadays but the anytone rabbi bought I've had a interest in for awhile.....

well I run a 100 pound kinetik 3800 power cell in my truck. it comes from the car stereo world....it's a $310 dollar battery... the equipment in my truck freaked the kid out at Bob's cb shop....lol

Oh i know just didnt expect it to be so pricey..Radio will not be 1500..Not far off but not 1500....Who knows what can change between now and then anyways..Kinda like the 2970 n4..
