Might be okay for a little radio but running lots of amperage it's not going to do what it's supposed to do

    A little unrelated but I just slapped a 5' firestick on a t800 w/ a stock uniden 880 as a temporary setup and SWR is reading 1:1 on 1 and 40.
Did I get lucky with a first try setup or is there something I need to check that I'm missing?
Almost makes me think something's absorbing power but I'm transmitting fine. Maybe I'm just skeptical because of all the nightmares I've had in the past lol

Nope..Been to a few in my area..Either i find ones that are about 1/2 wide or i have to order in..Heck i went tonight looking for rolls of 6ga wire and a cpl ends to solder wire to that will attach to my battery posts..Its like pullin teeth from a chicken..Gonna have to hit up some rig truck shops...Already went lookin for straps there..sheesh nothin around here for wide ground straps..Im not gonna order any cause im not sure where to attach other than door hinges..I have doubts it works anyways..Plastic washers, thread locker, plastic bushings..Hard to find just metal for cryin out loud...Dont really wanna be grinding paint off all over the truck either..I know i have to so i wanna be selective in where to mount straps..
